KOLKATA / (HYDERABAD) — More than 1,500 students received academic degrees on Monday during the 2026 convocation ceremony at the BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus.
The degree conferral included more than 1,200 first degree (undergraduate) programmes, nearly 200 higher degree (postgraduate) programmes and more than 100 PhD degrees.

Additionally, Outstanding PhD Thesis awards were conferred upon Velmurugan K in sciences, Ronanki Suresh in engineering and Shovon Sengupta in non-STEM studies.
During the 2025–26 academic year, the institution secured 116 new sponsored research projects totaling Rs 37.90 crore, along with 1,968 research papers published by faculty members. Institutional placement figures showed that over 750 graduates have been hired to date, recorded at a median annual remuneration of Rs 20 lakh.
